Accommodation 23rd Sept

Postby ALDuke » Mon 10 Sep, 2018 7:53 pm

Hello All, A friend and I will be starting out on the Overland track on Monday the 24th of September. We have booked one of the Waldheim cabins for the night of Sunday the 23rd. There are just two of us and six bunks. We thought we'd put it out there if anyone else was in need of a bunk for the night and wanted to cut costs. Cheers, Amy

Amy, welcome to the forum. I don't like your chances of finding someone at this late stage. The bus stop is at Ronny Creek, not Waldheim. There will be a lot of snow for much of the OLT.

Yeah. I know its a bit late. But thought it was worth a mention. Ya never know. Its a shame they don't rent some out by the bunk instead of by the cabin.
My guide book says the Waldheim Cabins are "about 700m from Ronny Creek car park where the Overland starts". So our intent is to get dropped off the night before and get an early start in the morning.
We are prepared for any weather conditions. I wouldn't mind a bit of snow. Its all part of the adventure. It will remind me of the Rocky's in June.
