Either your peak is verrrrry looongggg - or you have been on 2 peaks.
The first one is not Black Bluff - but also nowhere near Roland.
I can see a peak called Stormont at about the right height on the List - or more likely on the plateau to the east of Black Bluff - near Tiger Plain?
Second one is from the Mt Roland area - maybe Mt Claude?
[Although I do wish your photos weren't so grainy when you post them...

Indeed. Mark's panorama is from Claude and the other one is from Stormont. Don't know how many he stitched together.

Is there a track up Stormont or is it a Deep Donga excursion. I would love to know how to get there.

Coming back down near the creek in the forest was better than the ridge.

So, didn't get to the top of Stormont then? Hope you guys aren't counting that one.

As you know: (1) peak baggers only go to the high point! (2) we try to return by a different route.

The rule is "the tippy top" IIRC... and by extension this means the tippy top of the actual named mountain peak (ie: the wee triangle thingy), not the massif. That's what I reckon anyway.

(nah, just stirring, and still unhappy about being ripped off on Olympus.)

I've been to the tippy top of the peak named Olympus, I've never been near Geryon. Bonds was a best effort with consideration of possible maiming or death from failure, and how do you know I haven't been to the top of the Acropolis? I KNOW you haven't. Come back when you do.

PS: LOL at Geyron. You've been hanging around Dave too much.

Ollster - Peak bagging points 80085. You seem to have had a high scoring weekend - what exactly did you get up?

Strange? How so?
I was. Az and I went for a walk out to Connection. We did a bit of a recon on bikes, but decided it was too far to get out to Marion/Charles/Pat during winter solstice (yay!!!).

No, you'll need to do better. Quite true, a nothing peak. It should not be on the list... very poor, but it was better than sitting inside writing crud on the forum. Oh bugger...

Hehehe yeh I hear ya. We went for a drive down to the Picton river for a look. some good water flow at the moment!
It wasnt on the old list!!
The Knuckle was 2 points on the old list, but not on the new at all! And it's higher than Sphinx AND Pavement. the list is a shamble of debacles!!

Use my list then
I did a quick trip out to Connection this afternoon after driving out to Grey (the gate was shut and I had to walk the last 1km). That's certainly an entertaining drive, especially after rain.

Hehe errr NO! Your list gets a look occasionally as a point of reference or interest, BUT 1000 peaks is a tad overwhelming.
Nice, Yeh I bet Grey would be an entertaining drive!! I walked the 20 odd k's when I did it!
Didnt bump into 2 scruffy looking Aarons on bikes while up on Connection did you??
As I said to one of them earlier today, boring walk with a tad bit of off track fun.

It's getting a bit longer as well. I'm adding the "Bob Browns" that weren't on it before. Almost finished.....
