Lost my tent...

TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Lost my tent...

Can anyone help me find my tent? I have the stuff sack that it goes into, but no tent... It isnt in my bedroom, it isnt in the spare room, it isnt in the garage nor the shed. It isnt even in my car... If you see it, please let me know...

It is a green S2S Dart, just incase you happen to see it :P

Seriously though, why the hell would i have the stuff sack for it, but have no idea where the tent is? this is totally mystifying me :?

Macca, have you tried looking out in the backyard? Tents, after all, are meant to be under the stars...

I don't know your age, but is this a memory issue? Hee, hee.

Retrace your steps and think where was the last time you used your green Dart!

Good luck with the hunt!

In our house those clues would lead to the conclusion that my daughter has it. If the stuff sack was gone as well then youngest son has it. If it was in the wrong cupboard then eldest son had had it and almost got it back ok

At 24 i hope memory is not an issue...

I did however find it, stuffed BEHIND a wardrobe in the spare room... How it got there and who put it there remains a mystery yet to be solved... It certainly was not me...

Good thing you found it. Otherwise I would seriously be questioning whether you've lost your marbles as well!!. Because even I know where your tent is because there is a picture of your tent on your other thread about pack weights.

I had a similar experience today looking for a tent. I had to ring up my dad. Turns out he has it.

Some tents can disguise themselves:

I was car-based camping up at the Warrumbungles during Easter and had my tent but not my poles. The last time I had used my tent was on The Overland Track. Immediately txted my nephew to find out if the poles were amongst his clutter at his home in Hobart. I was annoyed!!! Fortunately someone else in my group had a spare tent. I arrived home and found the poles in my gear cupboard

That's freaking hilarious!
It would be worth taking on some popular walks eg. overland track, south coast track, just to see the expressions of walkers as they appear at the campsite.
You'd want to have a hidden camera!

That looks really "cool". My first car was a 1953 Kombi (in 1973) make the tent right hand drive and it could have been my car.

I trust the "rear window" is suitably tiny to keep it realistic. You had to be able to reverse & park using mirrors coz you certainly couldn't see otherwise
