Denison Ranges

Postby matanica66 » Thu 12 Jan, 2012 2:15 pm

I'm planning to go to the Denison Ranges soon but can't remember how you get to the start of the walk. I planning to start from Florentine area (right off the main road after Maydena, park, cross the Gordon River, through Gordon Vale etc.). Can anyone help here? :D

Search for info about Tiger Range access to Gordon Vale and the Denison Range.

You need to get on Terry Walsh Road and follow it to the end, there are a couple of forks but it's usually pretty obvious which way to go... i.e. the one that isn't completely overgrown. Eventually you'll find the car parking spot and the start of the track.

Richea Creek is the name of the track.

Has the log that was across the road been removed so as to enable access to the start of the Richea Creek track?

Yes, someone has cut the log so access is now clear to start of Richea Track.

I talked to the Ranger yesterday (25/1). He confirmed the log has been removed. I'm heading up there tomorrow and will write a quick summary of the trip on my return. Mat

I can confirm the log has been removed from the road (well mostly - with enough room for a car to get through).
