TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

I often use my small tarp with my Megamid to give me cover over the door in pouring ran but it does mean having to carry the extra bits.
Phillip you are welcome to join me at Falls Creek this winter, fixed camp and day touring. Snow is magical when it isn't trying to kill you

Nice looking palace Philip. Good luck with the climbing, first time?

No not the first time. Been up there a few times now. I sometimes camp up there.

I just got back down now. Abseiling was fun but scary

Looks like a fun little rock. The rule with abseiling is: if there is no smoke coming off your descender then you're not going fast enough ;)

Looks like a pretty nice campground, did you have it to yourself?

Yep just me and my mate camping overnight, another 3 joined us for the day today. There was no smoking going down. :D

We also came down the otherside of this Rock. It was covered in Lichen, got very scary when it started to rain and I chosen to go down the lichen covered rocks in the rain, note to myself, "Don't do that again"

I must admit some of the very high sections I did not abseil. I'm not scared to admit, I thought I was going to *&%$#! myself and I was to scared and left those for my mates. Next time I will attempt those longer higher abseils. :D

I don't normally climb steep rocks and go down via a rope, not a natural process for me. At least I can now say, I've abseiled. Will I do it again? you bet I will. That adrenalin rush is awesome, but I hate with a capital H, those first few steps you take to get over the edge. I was shaking like you wouldn't believe.

I think it was a good way to spend the day, but now I got to go get a drink to settle my nerves.
