So I thought "I'm missing something here" and looked up RUANALIAN on Google. The number 1 item returned in the search was
this link which explains all - NOT. One of the other two links returned gave me a bit of a clue. Life sure is hard in this day and age of SMS for those of us who still prefer correct english.

Nik. Come on. Get with it. Why can you not understand this stuff? ARE YOU AN ALIEN?

For the benefit of Google, the definition of
RUANALIANis a question fairly asked of someone that holds the criteria of
have a body that doesnt itch or bleed from leech bites

If you do that, you are going to have to give the credit to Corvus, though you are the self-confessed title-holder, so I guess you do get author rights.
Another link back to the

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruanalienfeel free to add and edit the page, and we can see how long it takes before it leaves wikipedia and ends up on uncyclopedia instead... keep it 'factual' tho!

corvus
Oh my god - European Wasps!! They hate me. I swear it. Everytime one sees me it wants to kill me lol...
But no, leeches definately freak me out, spiders too. Problem is, my usual bushwalking friend is so petrified of leeches that I have to be the brave one otherwise she gets totally hysterical and runs away!

OK I'll go first.
I speak English, but you lost me on this one.
I assume there's a meaning for "salary" here that I'm not getting.
Fri 08 May, 2009 12:56 pm
etymology of the word salary: from the latin "salarium" - a payment made in salt...
Fri 08 May, 2009 12:58 pm
Ah, yes, I knew it. Latin. Not English. That's why I didn't get it...

S'pose it would help if I knew more of the word "etymology" too!

Cheers
you know, there is a way to get to the other side of rat hole without going thru rat hole... i know this because with my frame, i would be lucky to get 10% of my body thru it. my shoulders are at least 50% wider than the hole is...

Rat hole? Nah. Call me woosy. Something about standing on a mountain and being able to breathe tells me that I don't really desire to crawl through such places.
Not that I would have much trouble with my 61kg frame...

Crikey, what rock have you been hiding on top of?
Get out there in the mud, the buttongrass etc and
experience, man!Either that or you are just blessed and I am taking you to Mary Creek Plains to see whether or not you really are a good luck charm

I'm still pleased with my own leech evasion.
In April, walking around the Walls with a mate, he had about 5 leeches for the journey. Me none.
And then the day after that, visiting East Pillinger on the West Coast with the family, father and 3 brothers all had leeches. Which was amusing.
I had none.

The Never Never was but a pup for the Leech when it came to our Decent from Cathedral to Wadleys in the wet ,I had them on my head (under hair) and almost ear nose and throat so much so that I required a copious amount of medicinal spirits when we got to the Hut which saved me

When my mates were struggling and worming their way around I was stuck! It must be fun face down in a cave coming across something that wants to get out, like a large possum! Then again they would have more sense than that! At your weight and size you would be a natural, we call you canary.
No there is pleanty of beauty above ground for me nowadays. Still to those that do it it is great fun, for them!
at 110kg and standing only 5'10", i dont exactly appear to be built for caving, yet strangely, im one of the fastest and most agile within our little group... i think adam would do quite well down a little hole tho...
