Forest Walks?

Hello people of the internet,

Can anyone tell me of any multi-day/overnight hikes that are primarily through forest/rain-forest areas? Heading over to Tasmania in February and I'm still unsure where to hike
I've read that the Tarkine is pretty good, but I cant seem to find much online about hiking trails theres..

The Tarkine is great but multi day walks are not necessarily well marked.

I'd suggest you have a look at this topic and get hold of the book its about if you can. This will give you a vast range of options, short walks, day walks and overnighters and multiday. Try the Bob Brown Foundation to check if any are left - I doubt it somehow though. Links in the topic.

You'll need good navigation skills for some of it and your own transport to get into much of it. But its worth the effort.

There are heaps of copies of Tarkine Trails available. It had a second print run and is an excellent guide book for those rainforest walks.

The Styx Valley has some nice short forest walks, most notably the Tolkein Track https://www.wilderness.org.au/styx-self ... king-guide
The Twisted Sister track and Lungs of the Earth in the Florentine is also great.

The Great Western Tiers also has excellent forest walks. Bastion Cacades/Ironstone/Dell/Smoko Falls, all super and can be linked into a multiday walk if you do a loop over Mt Ironstone.
