Access to Mt Ironstone - Smoko Road

Hi all,

I'm after a really clear idea of what the access is like for the following:

- Smoko Road to the carpark at the end of the road - i was in the area in November & noticed two cars parked at the junction of Meander Falls road & Smoko road....is there access issues again..?
- Creek crossings: are there any major issues with the creek crossings at the head of the Mother Cummings Track..??
- Whats the Mt Ironstone Track like from where it leaves the MC Track..?? How difficult is it to pick up & is it reasonably easy to follow..??

Any info would be absolutely fantastic.!

I didn't have any access issues when I went up there last time, although it was in August, so I can't vouch for the road condition now. As far as the track is concerned, the Mother Cummings Rivulet crossing at the start of the walk is fine. Boots off if there's heaps of water, but plenty of rocks to hop across. From where the Ironstone Track starts, it's great. Just as easy to follow as the MC track. I did find it to be a bit difficult to find once up on the plateau, so I just bashed through (although it was in winter and there was plenty of snow around). But I imagine there's a good cairned route through the Snow Gums.
