Loss of waterproof on seams of DWR jacket

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what to do with a DWR jacket which is leaking at the shoulder seams and pocket zips badly in moderate rain. The DWR coating to the remainder of the jacket is working fine. It is around 18 months old and only seen light use (perhaps 20 days) and has always been stored dry in an airy place. It is a Series X shell jacket by Katmandu (hey, forgive me, I was naive).
Has anyone any suggestions on how to deal? I am not keen to retreat the whole jacket.

DWR won't fix those seam leaks and home DWR treatments rarely match factory treatments. Those seams described need to be sealed specifically using seam sealing tape or other compatible means if you don't want to retire the jacket, no other ways around it.

you get softshell jackets with DWR that were made for cold environments, in snow. not made to handle rain, just the general moisture you might get coming into occasional contact with snow or in a mild snowfall.. you get capiliary action through the seams and the moisture migrates through and then spreads through the underlayers...

Personally I would seam seal it in the same way as you would seam seal a tent (silicone and turps).

depends on the material. if its softshell jacket material, it can be too hard to seam seal. the seams are too bulky..

Silicone spray ? I've used it on tarp/tent seams, just make sure you the use correct PPE/mask....you don't want inhale that nasty stuff.

Take it back, jump up and down about the limited use youv'e had.
I'd otherwise try a liquid solution (mentioned above) before giving up, have had mixed results with seam tape.

Thanks for your replies. I have accepted I bought the wrong thing for what I needed - tho it is great in the snow. I might give one of the suggestions a go, tho I fear it might be a "Kill or cure" treatment.

Apologies if this has been answered else where.
Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to re seal seams on a gor tex jacket?
I really don't want to retire mine (we've been through a lot together ) however approx 50% of the seam tape has come off, it started to come off when I was hiking in the tropics. I've found places online I can buy new tape, how easy is it to apply? Will it last as long as the original? (Which wasn't long)

Sadly maybe it is time to retire it, though I there's other gear I want to spend my limited funds on
