Yes, an angle most of us aren't used to seeing.

Well, that there pointy thing to the right of the sun is Fedders, and it appears to be a familiar WArthurian-type angle but with some of your shots, in the words of Stevie Ray Vaughan, that don't mean a thing . . . in fact, the angle looks to be a bit more easterly, so maybe from Schnells?
Wed 05 Aug, 2020 2:07 pm
To get that angle on Federation and Geeves Bluff I would have thought you were somewhere in the Western Arthurs. I don't want to get in trouble for being too generic so I'll just say High Moor.
Wed 05 Aug, 2020 2:28 pm
I think it's further west than High Moor. Maybe the saddle between Orion and Sirius
Wed 05 Aug, 2020 3:00 pm
Correct Rick - on the saddle between Orion & Sirius
High Moor is in the view - along with both Pegasus, Scorpio, etc
Thu 06 Aug, 2020 9:54 am
Curious - lots of views and no attempts?
That saddle in the distance has a very distinctive chock stone boulder tower
Thu 06 Aug, 2020 10:05 am
There is a body of water on the far right in the distance. It has a name and it's not a lake.
- I never noticed the chockstone. Once I got to that saddle the clouds closed in completley
Thu 06 Aug, 2020 1:21 pm
I found the chockstone quite visible from a number of directions.
Its quite a big block wedged in there.

So I presume this is about to traverse below Procyon towards Square Lake in the Western Arthurs.
My photo location on the saddle below Sirius ahead.

Fri 07 Aug, 2020 3:04 pm
That looks like Battle Ridge. Are you on the side of Milligan?
Fri 07 Aug, 2020 4:13 pm
It is Battle Ridge - but Milligan is in the view
Fri 07 Aug, 2020 4:41 pm
