Too true...

The name pretty much matches what you see...

I earlier thought of Cave Creek at Bargo, which would align with your clue? Haven't been there but have read about it (maybe in one of Sloss's guides?)

That's it, although at Hill Top, not all that far from walks starting at Wattle Ridge, Starlights et al. This is an easy short stroll down into the cave then around to below the waterfall where the creek exits the cave. Massive bush fire damage now but they have cleared the track to make it navigable. Yes, pretty sure it's in one of the Sloss guides I have.

Yep close enough... bit further down the spur from ayre, near where the white track turns steeply north from memory(looking upstream)

Thanks, I have the same shot from the White track, should have said looking upstream.

NSW again with apologies, I'll try and unearth a different state next one:

I’m not sure but if you look into that rock face on the left you will see a perfect Gorillas face.

Ok I’ll have a guess while I’m here. Are you on the Ettrema about to approach the Yalwal Creek junction.

Ah, all my photos seem to be from a different angle. I visited Ahearns last year but haven't been down in the valley there for ages.

I promised to find a non-NSW shot. Name this peak in QLD:

Time for a clue to narrow it down:
In the main, this area is known for its named high points and voids, or words to that effect.

Not sure about your clues?
I do remember driving along and the sudden great drop away of Cunningham Gap.
But Mount Cordeaux ?

Maybe somewhat cryptic eggs, I probably watched too many episodes of the Masked Singer.
"main" = Main Range NP, "named high points" = several peaks within that NP, "voids" = syn. for gaps, Cunninghams, Spicers, Gap Creek.
Regardless of all that Mount Cordeaux is correct, passed on our way to Bare Rock from Cunninghams Gap.

Not far from St Marys - but this one is quite a bit smaller. It just sticks out a bit more prominently from the range line and hence its name.

That's it, north-north-west. Between Hawker and Wilpena Pound, on the Heysen Trail. Elder Range to the west.

That's an interesting section of the Heysen. Quite a few old chimney stacks along the way to Mayo. Nice easy walking, too.

I'm sticking with SOz. A simple "where am I?"
