If you keep heading NNW about a 1000kms from the larapinta trail as the crow flies you’ll be in the ballpark. It’s a day walk and perhaps It was a bit tricky given how few members are from that part of Oz

Thanks. Looks like an interesting place for a jaunt! Never heard of it.

This one's back in Victoria. Name the walk I'm on or the Peak in view.

Indeed it is.

Taken from the Picaninny looking North to Mt Abrupt, after a big lunch at Dunkeld.

A nice little stroll to work off the lunch. Royal Mail?

Still in Victoria for this one. Name the prominent peaks in the middle-ground.

You should be patient while they clear their heads, find that old school square and measure up the cone.

Unfortunately I don't know any of them but, taking eggs' leading a horse to water clues, I'll go with Mt Clear, Square Top and High Cone?

Eggsactly as eggs intimated, and John W confirmed. The three peaks as named reading left to right, and as passed heading south on the AAWT. As viewed from the summit of The Bluff.

On a 2 night trip the other weekend we were having a discussion one evening about the AAWT. Seems to be on a few buckets lists.

Well, you've jumbled the names a bit Graham :) but yes I'll pay that. On Henry Head looking at Cape Banks.
You know it?

Edit: The peninsula in between is named Pussycats, I have no idea why :?.

Thanks John. Yes, I was confused. I went there with my son just before I last saw him, just before last Christmas, but couldn't remember the exact name. Can't wait to see him again this Christmas.

There could be a reason for that! But it's not Kings Canyon itself. A watercourse name would be ideal.

That's correct, eggs. There are some excellent camping spots not far from this lovely creek. The only place in Watarrka Kings Canyon NP where camping is accepted by the authorities is between kilometres 3 and 20 of the Giles Trail, and the best spots are within a few hundred metres of Reedy Creek.

Looks very nice.
I enjoyed Kings Canyon, but the extended walk would be great.

Yes - pretty much the southern most point of SA on a typically grey day.

Yes I found that out via google maps. Apart from driving across the Nullarbor in my early 20s, my only excursion into SA and that general region was well over 40 years ago.
We did a car camping trip through parts of SA not long after getting married and stayed at Kingston SE a couple of hours north.

I should try and unearth some old SA photos but right now I don't know where they are.
Will have to settle for another from NSW. Name as many features as you can. Bonus for my location:

I can’t work out if you are on Tate or Gills Knob. Maybe you are using a telephoto lens. I can see Spencer’s creek to the left and the Snowy to the right. Paddy rush’s Bogong in the far distance.
