[For SALE] Geelong VIC REI Grand Hut 6 tent

Postby Moondog55 » Wed 17 Feb, 2021 3:04 pm

This is the tent that fell off the trailer. The actual damage to the tent is so minor it just took me 10 minutes to find it and otherwise tent is brand new and unused, I erected it once in the driveway to check it out and repacked it in a cardboard box immediately.
All the damage was to the tent bag and the large plastic bag I used as a bag liner. I have resewn the tent bag and made it twice the strength and a little bigger.
REI price is $349-US. Shipping from the US is about $120- US and then there is GST on that.
Due to medical issues the tent is surplus to our needs and must find a new home.
It'ds heavy enough but just light enough to suit a family bushwalk if the distance isn't too far. It won't fit 6 large adults but it will fit 2 adults and 4 wriggly kids or 2 adults on large stretchers/ 4 adults on camp mats.
Ventilation is good.
Has been stored loose in a big cardboard box; not rolled up in the supplied bag.
The resewn carry bag has new webbing sewn on so it could be lashed to the outside of a rucksack for a family bushwalk.
$455- plus shipping/postage and pick-up is fine.
Ask any questions you want but the details are listed in the following link.
