Further north than Tabletop. This peak is rarely climbed.

It's the right shape for Blackfellows Hill but I think that's too low. Nattung?

It’s not Blackfellows or Nattung.

Your guesses are on the correct side of the snowy mountains highway. The peak I’m looking at is a little off the beaten path.

Can't find any ~1700m high points in my search range. So might still be too low, but I'll try Tom O'Rourkes Peak.

Not Tom O’Rourkes.

There is a whole other section of the park that you are all missing. Often gets forgotten about.

Bogong Peaks did occur to me earlier but the single peak above a plain in the photo doesn't really lend itself to that area?

Bogong Peaks is correct. Good job.

Great views up there but a horrendous, scrubby climb

It was taken from the Mosquito Creek FT just past Hainsworth hut.

 Wow, that's over 16 km from Hainsworth hut. I looked at Bogong Peaks earlier but dismissed it as too far. Photo looks much closer.

Thanks, would not have got it without the clues, and some map study.

Something different, what is the distant feature in NSW? Clue - It's a protected area:

Yes I thought yo must have been on a cherry picker at Burleigh Heads by how close the Island looked!!!

Old favourite dive spot of mine when I taught diving up that way late 80's.

This one's from Victoria.

A very wet and miserable day. 4 of us trying to dry out our gear at which location.
