They've done some work on the access track but in one place they have used what looks like blue metal only the stones are huge, 10cm or greater in size and sharp. Be fine in a 2WD except it's now mounded up in the middle. The Subi not a problem but I'd be a little concerned getting over that blue metal in a standard 2WD.

It's always been a rough track and difficult to follow but plenty of cairns to get you back on track. The regrowth after the fires ATM is horrendous. On a number of occasions I was standing on a rock with a cairn, and there was no indication of a track.
The good news is someone has come along and recut most of the track and done a pretty good job. Thank you whoever that was.
The bad news is they still have a couple of klms to go and there is a 1 k section where the track is lost under leaf litter and tightly packed regrowth and vines. Until the last section is recut it would be best to take a machete.
