There is an abseil route on the left of the falls that is the exit from another feature.
Both it and the falls are informally named after the gully in which they exist.

I don't have time to post, but was confident I knew it. John's photo is from a slightly quirky angle, making it look less like the classic shots of this waterfall, but it's very distinctive to those who've abseiled it.

My next clue was going to be "what do you call a canyoner with one leg longer than the other?".

Looking towards the Tollgate Islands from somewhere in Murramarang NP?
Can't decide - maybe from either Reef Point or Three Islet Point?

Close enough JohnW. That is actually Three Islet Point (locally known as Yellow Rocks) in the foreground and I am at the fancy new lookout built after the fires.

We've car camped a couple of times in the past around Durras. I've walked around the lake and Durras Mountain etc but not visited that southerly section.

Still NSW, what track or feature am I ascending?

Apart from the (roadwork?) this could be a lot of places. Cleared land, very open, fire damage?
I think there has been work on the access routes into Jenolan. Maybe somewhere around Oberon?

Somewhere around Bullocks Hill/Nungar Ck Trails near Witzes?

Maybe Port Phillip Trail?

Yes GBW, the Bullocks Hill fire trail (superhighway) near Witzes Hut. Communications and power infrastructure was being laid for the tunnel drilling machines associated with Snowy Hydro 2. As part of those works the fire trail was widened and upgraded to accommodate the construction vehicles. It was quite discombobulating to see this after the peace and old-country charm of Witzes.

OMG! What have they done? I had a feeling it was something to do with the SH2 in that area near the Tantangara Reservoir. The mass of fallen trees and branches is something I remember from that section on the approach to Witzes. NSW again...
