I don't know where this is but, what did you "cook" for tea that night.
Thu 01 Jul, 2010 3:12 pm
Haha thats a terribly obvious clue Bap!!
Thu 01 Jul, 2010 3:35 pm
and absolutely right! It's Cooks Beach ... which was named after a farmer named Cook, and not after Cap'n James (for a change).
Back to Bap, or whoever Bap chooses,
cheers
Peter

.....more than 5 mins then, a clue,
the "mountain" in view is worth 1 point on the peakbaggers list, I am off track, so a name of the "mountain" will do.....
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 12:57 pm
Not sure, but maybe Table Mtn?
Looks like the midlands somewhere with open paddocks in RH side of photo.
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 1:37 pm
Not Table Mtn, you could say it is Midlands though
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 1:43 pm

Indeed it is, took my 2 muts for a walk up there yesterday....
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 1:56 pm
Ah nice one mate, dog friendly walks are kind of rare.
Hope they had fun & you got them onto their own Peak Bagging list now?
Ok, where am I sitting? (photo courtesy of MJD).
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 2:08 pm
Definately in the Franklands... Is it called the lion?...
you !@#$! I'm still dirty about that one.
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 2:09 pm
Yeah Az, i'm sure you can see me smiling
Not the Lion tho...
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 2:15 pm
Thats coronation in the background?
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 2:17 pm
Looks more like a camel, but I think that's in The Spires
Doggies have 1pt each!!!
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 2:18 pm
Actually remembered, The Dragon?
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 2:29 pm
Yep, thats Coronation in the background Az.
I'll make you work harder SBS, this is actually part of a 'named ridge', the feature I am sitting on has no 'formal' name (tho has been referred to as the dragon).
This is just below the high point of the 'ridge' in question (which btw should have points on the PB's list as it's very spectacular & has an airy little summit climb).
edit: SBS, i'm probably being too harsh which I don't like being.
This feature, known as the Dragon is just below the top of Tribulation Ridge, day 3 of our Franklands trip & a scorcher (30+ degrees).
Over to you SBS...
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 2:44 pm
Its the Madonna Ridge...
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 2:55 pm
The Madonna Ridge eh, maybe one day.....
ok then, where was I? 1 million points if you can name the lake.....

It was Tribulation Ridge, Madonna Ridge is a little further along the range.
SBS - this kind of looks like the Denisons, but with that dolerite rock I'd say not.
Fri 02 Jul, 2010 3:04 pm
Not the Denisons, this would be a daywalk.

You are correct. That is not the Stepped Hills.
However, no points.
A close guess though.
Sat 03 Jul, 2010 6:18 pm

Sat 03 Jul, 2010 7:28 pm
