I had to "hmm" coz the last time I was there was winter 1977! The round ridge above jogged my memory. Here's another:

Not Lake Ball. In fact an unnamed tarn.

Yes it does! And it is. Your go SOB

This will be exceptionally easy for anyone who knows where I've been walking recently. But could be a bit tricky for anyone who's not been there...
(sorry about the poor image quality - I only had a phone camera with me, and it's terrible at high contrast)

Actually TdF can be quite mesmerising to watch. I'm more MTB than road cyclist but the scenery is often stunning, especially once they get up into the mountains.

The mountains and historic villages are stunning. I started watching several years ago mainly for the scenery but now know whos who and how game (mad?) these guys are

must sleep!
(Cadel's looking fine..)

Not Lake Bill, but that walk and this one are accessed from the same road and are sometimes combined into a circuit walk with a short car shuffle.
It's not on the main track to where we were camping, but just off an alternative but well used route.

You at Chalice lake Nik??
Sun 11 Jul, 2010 9:43 am
Junction lake?
Sun 11 Jul, 2010 9:48 am
Hmm I did mean to say chapter, not chalice
Sun 11 Jul, 2010 10:01 am
Not Chalice, not Junction, not Chalice Chapter. This is off the well-beaten track, but not by much, and not the track you guys are all thinking of so far, but another track that can be joined onto it for a circuit walk. Actually, I'm not far off a track that is probably the second most popular walking location in Tasmania.

Not Chalice or Chalice??
Hmm Mrytle?
Sun 11 Jul, 2010 12:17 pm
Sorry Nik, I might have thrown things with Lake .....

(Short n sweet, Ill butt out now, I can never recognise much besides the track at my feet anyhow)

I meant to say, not Chalice, not Junction, not Chapter.

Feel free to guess... I know you know the answer.

For everyone else, I walked through the Walls of Jerusalem track last weekend, including a commonly used alternative route in, which is not on an official Track, but which follows the official track for the first 45 minutes or so.
Sun 11 Jul, 2010 9:12 pm
been a while for me in that area but is it solomons jewels?
Sun 11 Jul, 2010 10:31 pm
Must be the Tiger Lake track Nik!
Mon 12 Jul, 2010 8:07 am
Tiger lake track is where I walked, so it was not solomons jewels. That narrows it down a LOT.
Mon 12 Jul, 2010 9:13 am
Never heard of it, but George Howes Lake??
Mon 12 Jul, 2010 10:55 am
Not George Howes, but there's only one other lake left to choose from.
Mon 12 Jul, 2010 11:00 am
Umm is it actually Tiger lake??
gee we've deserved this one..
Mon 12 Jul, 2010 11:02 am
Yes, it is Tiger Lake!

So go for it, ILUVSWTAS. Or if Gerry gets on first, I reckon he could have bash too, as he sort of said it as part of his last post.
