Lol, Yes I dont really feel as though I deserve that one, and Gerry did seem to know where you were. All yours Gerry!

I don't have one ready ILUVSWTAS. Have a go if you have one ready. I only found out about the track after a fellow walker mentioned they had been there. With Trappers Hut being 45 minutes from the start of the WOJ track then I guessed this was likely to be the one!! Your photo is almost an exact copy of one I took of Lake Bill Nik!

Just narrowing things down a little:
It's in the South West . . .
Mon 12 Jul, 2010 9:19 pm
Hahahaha she's a savvy one....
Mon 12 Jul, 2010 9:29 pm
Im not sure that this peak has featured in the game yet either, which is rare....
There are a few clues in this pic. But I wont give any away yet as I believe it can be figured out quite easily.

Is there a road running through this shot, but out of sight?
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 9:03 am
It's possible SBS. FT and Hydro Tas have roads everywhere these days.

OK, is that Scotts Peak Road running down below???
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 10:33 am
No. It's a fair distance to SP.
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 2:25 pm
Ok clue time,
Look at the reddish coloured hill in the middle, where have you seen that before??
The peak at the left back should be identifiable???
There is a whisp of mist on the lower left side.... what could cause that??
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 2:58 pm
My inital thought was The Thumbs. Lake Pedder could produce the mist...
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 3:07 pm
You are correct on one of those statements.
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 3:08 pm
So its not the Thumbs - maybe Clear Hill?
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 3:10 pm
Clear hill and the Thumbs are both Conglomerate (yuk)
So no not Clear Hill
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 3:11 pm
is that the sawback range in the middle?
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 3:14 pm
No. The sawback is much uglier
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 3:16 pm
I'm probably thinking in the wrong area then. Maybe this is from Druids
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 3:18 pm
I think thats what Dan was getting at asking if Scotts peak road was underneath me, in case you missed that post though I'll say it again, Scotts peak road is some Km's from here.
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 5:17 pm
I'm fairly certain the back left peak is Sprent.
Not sure about a red hill? But there is a lot of colour around Strathgordon.
Is it on the Coronets? Still not sure - but the wide valley and no road in view seems to lend itself to this
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 5:23 pm
You are correct with one of those comments.....
But not the Coronets.
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 5:33 pm
Yeah - I was giving up on the Coronets.
Still hard to fit - but maybe Mt Cullen?
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 5:43 pm
Welcome back Eggs!! Yup Cullen, probably just over half way up. The red hills are the Twelvetrees, and sprent as you said! AMAZED no-one could recognise sprent!!
The whisp of mist is coming off Pedder which you can JUST see a fraction of water.
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 7:02 pm
Gotta be on Ossa, Surely? Maybe? Probably.... not
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 7:26 pm
That was a funny guess - but it is from Ossa looking east
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 8:06 pm
I thought it was too obvious to be right, and as you know I have not climbed Ossa yet.....
This one should be easy, i'd be more impressed if someone who knows where I am can tell me HOW/WHERE I may have gotten this nasty gash on my head.....

You were fighting with Ollie over the last bottle of booze?
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 8:37 pm
Hehehe I ought to give you that just for the originality....
Fortunately theres usually enough rampage to go round.... I was wakling solo when I did this which did give me a bit of a scare. It bled for about 4-5 hrs.
Tue 13 Jul, 2010 8:42 pm
Scalp wounds always bleed a lot, out of all proportion to the seriousness of the injury.
Does look rather painful, but.
