TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. Have been working on reducing my pack weight, It is getting there last big thing to replace is the sleeping bag.
I used this gear on my last 3night hike. With food and water pack weight was around 8kg. The last time I did this walk with my old pack I was around 15kg+

Hi Charlie,
Nice list, what brand of tarp are you using. On sleeping bags, BPL recently did a series of reviews on UL sleeping bags and another UL sleeping bag option are BPL quilts, I have been using one for three season use a few years now and I like it.

Thank's Tony, Tarp is from George Carr of End2End Trail, cant knock it or his service he does the Gram Weenie stove as well.
Yeah I have been looking at a Quilt have you used one if so how do you find them?

yer, there's some big improvements.
for me, id either need a good bag at that weight or lighter bag/quilt and more clothes (in winter)

you even managed to squeeze in a GPS.
what model is that? Ive got the Garmin Oregon which is at 327g with batteries + case.
However its one of those gadgets i'm finding that is staying home more often than not.
