Hm, was a bit of a guess, could have been any number of rivers really.
Ok, next one...

Has a very Tyndallish look to me...are you above lake huntley looking NE? That's certainly Saddle Lake on the left there...
Fri 16 Jul, 2010 8:09 am
Yes I am, these cliffs blew me away when I first saw them, amazing.
Fri 16 Jul, 2010 7:51 pm

Geryon
Not sure where you are though, it's too early for me to be bothered checking OZI. Maybe Lake Helios.
Sat 17 Jul, 2010 7:31 am
Close enough, your go. The fog you can see was rolling over into Pine Valley from the eastern side, did this the whole morning while we were up there. Very frosty too, black ice on the way round to the Geryon from the north.

Doesn't it look great when it does that. I have a photo of PB from Osmiridium camp, doing the same thing, perfect day but the peak is covered in a wave of fog / cloud. Would have look despairing at High camp or the summit but everywhere else was blue sky sunny day.

Mon 19 Jul, 2010 1:20 pm
I remember that Lake with the little island quite well.. I think I even have the same photo.
Here goes..
Mon 19 Jul, 2010 1:27 pm
Not sure if the game has had any pics from this little range yet???
Mon 19 Jul, 2010 1:39 pm
If it's where I think it is, that would be cause not many people from this forum would consider a trip there let alone have been there.
Mon 19 Jul, 2010 1:40 pm
I presume you have been to the White Monolith range then stu?
Mon 19 Jul, 2010 2:14 pm
Not yet eggs, maybe in a few years after this years Mt Seal trip, then Eldons, then POW's, then Spires...Maybe 2014?
I know Az has been there tho & I presume this shot is from Sculptured Mountain as I know they didn't get much further along.
Mon 19 Jul, 2010 2:19 pm
Yup. Its from somewhere near the summit of Sculptured Mountain. Looking at what we called Stonehenge - the circle of rocks down below was really quite impressive. I can only imagine that Stonehenge peak must have something similar?
Unfortunately time constraints and laziness prevent us from going further. It was quite nice once up on the range.
But we opted for a day trip after realising we'd not allowed enough time to complete our intended trip.
Mon 19 Jul, 2010 2:28 pm
You can go next eggs.
I had an unfair advantage

Not to mention Bauera as thick as an arm. I've seen your video dont forget
Mon 19 Jul, 2010 3:21 pm
So how do you define unfair advantage?
I had a photo of white monolith range with which to compare, and you knew he had walked there?
Crumbs - a fair percentage of answers have been based on knowing who walked where [say looking up trip notes in wildtiger..] - or in Mark's case - it used to be written into his signature
Oh well:
Mon 19 Jul, 2010 3:24 pm
Thats ok egss, I have to go early today anyway.
Not that I've been there but this looks like maybe Lake Youl on the Ben Lomond Plateau?
Probably not, but I'll throw a quess in the ring to get things rolling...
Mon 19 Jul, 2010 3:25 pm
No stu - a long way from Ben Lomond
Mon 19 Jul, 2010 7:57 pm
