TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Well done, Corvus...
At last we have a result for
this product search from more than two years ago.

Corvus was it in with the hand sanitisers or elsewhere in the store? I checked my local woolies and priceline neither of which had it. Mind you I only looked in with the sanitisers though.
Cheers

From the Cleanspray web site:
"Cleanspray is now available at Woolworths. Find us in the Travel Mini's section of the Health & Beauty aisle."I need to do some grocery shopping tonight. Will try and remember to have a look for it.
p.s. Great find Corvus

washing your hands is still the best option..... cheaper too
these sanitisers kill you good flora as well which can leave room for dangerous flora to move in too
not to mention that the 0.1% of bacteria now have no competition and can thrive and develop resistances....
apart from that if you carry alcohol hand rub instead you can use it as fuel/firestarter in an emergency....
they don't work if you have any solid matter on you hands either (dirt or other matter)
SO:
if you hands are pretty clean and you have nowater to wash then it is a viable option..... IMO

I must get myself one of these. Easily carry in your pocket, always readily available.

I agree that washing your hands is good however when " we do what we do in the woods" we are generally not supposed to be near any watercourse so washing is a bit restricted.
And I personally would rather ensure that I don't get "the solid matter" on my hands, Kill the 99.99% of germs and take my chances with the 0.1% of resistant bacteria.
I also realise that many don't use an ipood so it matters little what is carried, alcohol hand rub or whatever ,my post was to inform those that do and have been looking for a product like this for a couple of years of its availability not an endorsement of any product or company

i get that... hence the summary line - i use a cheapo orange trowel and carry aquium myself...... but if i had an ipood i would probably stick a bottle in the handle.....
better than gastro with a trowel!
Thu 10 Feb, 2011 1:58 pm
May I ask, what is a ipood?

It's changed it's name due to demands from Apple, but it is a popular
Sea to Summit collapsable trowel for digging poo holes.
It used to be called "iPood!", with the exclamation mark, and in a font such that the word looked exactly the same upside down as it did right side up.

Thanks (and sorry. I only had a brief read of the website in my rush). I'll check it out tomorrow.
An ipood is a fantastic name for sea to summits lightweight toilet trowel

However they have all of a sudden changed it's name which is a huge shame. I can only imagine apple have had a crack at them?? Maybe?? It was a great name though.
Edit: sorry I did not see son of beach had posted a response before I did. Such a shame apple did that. I doubt anyone was going to try and put the trowel in their ears and listen to music

We have been looking for a bottle that would fit in the handle (not withstanding a lot of research just ask Nik) for a couple of years that is why I posted the information
How many orange handles do you now own or have they improved over the years
Thu 10 Feb, 2011 3:39 pm
i have 2.... lol they are a bit ... dare i say "crappy"

i just havn't been able to drop the load on an ipood when i don't yet own a hilleberg..... or a shiny new kayak..... or a toastier bag.... or.... .... i need to win tatts!
did like the look of the S2S loo roll bag though.... havn't got that either yet though....
in my defence i am in the middle of relocating the family so most of my gear hopes have been crushed for a while....

With young children I fully understand where you are placed

by the way a large Aluminium Snow Peg is "more better than" the crappy Orange Trowel and can do two jobs so your load carry is reduced

nothing like reducing your load in a minimal impact fashion!
The missus just suggested i don't need either as i am usually

"full of it"

My other half works for apple and they have some very funny ideas about how their brand can be used. So nothing is allowed to even similar to anything they produce. So no i...anything, no mac...or ...mac. Their resellers can't look too much like the Apple stores but have to look smart. I could go on but I think you get the picture.
But I loved the name ipood!.
On topic. My nurse friend washes her hands with traditional methods in preference to Aquium. Me, I use gel for number 1s and before cooking. Water and soap for everything else. I like to wash away dirt not rub it into my skin.

It's interesting though. When you look at the new Hyundai range they are all i-something ie iload, i35 etc. I'm surprised there's been no showdown there.
Back on topic I used this spray on my last trip and it's really good. It sprays on well and is easy to rub on and not as messy as the gels. Plus it fits in my trowel

You're the second person to mention that Apple had an iDEA, so I just had to google it. (

I'm amazed macpac have been able to get away with it for so long.

I am surprised they got it changed (must have cost a heap of lawyers etc) such an unrelated product and not the same word/spelling etc- strange world out there huh?!
{in jest} lets hope some of the dictionary publishers or orchardists sort apple out for copyright infringement?! lol

.... or maybe the church as Gods' earthly representatives could... after all they mentioned the apple way before the company did!
Well the Big Fella upstairs gave us a sense-of-humor for just these kinda instances!
