Forum rules

Please keep the width of embedded images (using [img] [/img] tags) in this forum to no more than 800 pixels wide (this will avoid them being clipped without notice by most users' window sizes). A few panos from Mt Field

Hi all, finally managed to stitch and edit a few panos from my trip to Mt Field a little while back so thought I'd post a few up.

Awesome Michael. Love the one of the Denisons. Such a beautiful range.

awsome. so good this year! i'd love to make panos like that, i end up just spinning round in circles shooting video :D

Just the automated function in Photoshop CS5 (my poor old computer really struggled handling some of them that were up to ~1GB in size to start with!!), but it seems to do a pretty good job of the stitching for the most part, then if the automated program can't stitch it properly you can try it manually.

It looks so awesome! The Denison range pics: where are they taken from? I've never been there in clear weather so don't really know what it looks like :lol: :cry:
I was up on Tarn Shelf 2 days ago but had *slightly* different weather. I turned around just before Newdegate hut due to horisontal hail/sleet/rain. I had hoped to get over the pass for some views. Next time :)

Yay, just checked the web cam. There's more snow on the ground again :D

The Denison Range photos were taken from The Watcher, which has some nice views from the summit. The view from Mt Field West would be a little better as you would be able to see Mt Wright and the Thumbs etc and its a little higher/closer, but still pretty magic views in the snow from The Watcher anyway. I'm sure when you do manage to get some views it will be worth the wait!! Good excuse to keep going back anyway :D

Looks like a nice dusting up there doesn't it, hopefully it's enough to hang around for a few days at least.

Thanks, must make it to the Watcher in good weather then. Probably incorporate it in K col circuit :)

Now, please stay cold up there (and please make the days longer so I have time to get up there soon again)
