Starting from a carpark just off Cape Tourville Road, Freycinet National Park, this walk leads to Sleepy Bay and back via the Sleepy Bay Track. From the carpark, gently graded steps lead to the rocky shoreline of Sleepy Bay which, despite its name, often experiences wild and rough seas. From the Sleepy Bay Lookout you can enjoy views over the beautiful rocky bay with its turquoise waters and orange lichen-encrusted rocks. You can extend ‚Äčthis short walk by following the track down to Little Gravelly Beach, a delightful cove with crystal clear water and large reddish boulders. While the track is easy to follow, it is quite steep, rough underfoot in places and passes close to some high cliff tops. This is a short, mildly strenuous walk, not recommended for people with limited mobility as there are some steep steps down to the beach. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
