Safer Bushwalks Tips on staying safe on track
Before you start any bushwalk ensure you;
• Tell someone you trust where you are going and what to do if you are overdue
• Have adequate equipment, supplies, skills & knowledge for the whole journey
• Consider the impact of weather forecasts, park/track closures & fire dangers
• Can respond to emergencies & call for help at any point
• Are healthy and fit enough for this journey
If not, change plans and stay safe. It is okay to delay and ask people for help.

Turn on to Marengo Road then drive for 2.4 km Keep left onto Marengo Road and drive for another 8.9 km Turn right onto Hardens Road and drive for another 6 km Turn left onto Hardens Road and drive for another 5.7 km Turn left onto Chaelundi Road and drive for another 1.2 km Continue onto Chaelundi Road and drive for another 5.6 km Keep left onto Misty Creek Road and drive for another 550 m Continue onto Misty Creek Road and drive for another 10.2 km Keep left onto Misty Creek Road and drive for another 225 m

	At the intersection of Escarpment Walking Track & Misty Creek Road Start heading along Escarpment Walking Track (a walking track). Find the sign at the start. After another 45 m cross the bridge (about 3 m long)
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to Chaelundi Falls Lookout with views over falls. To start this optional side trip turn right here. On returning from this side trip error >360 when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 520 m continue straight, to head along Escarpment Walking Track.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip along Lucifers Thumb Walking Track - a rock shaped like a finger, leading to a lookout. To start this optional side trip continue straight here. On returning from this side trip error >360 when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 500 m (at the intersection of Escarpment Walking Track & Lucifers Thumb Walking Track) veer left, to head along Escarpment Walking Track.
	After another 240 m (at the intersection of Escarpment Walking Track & Combalo Trail) turn left, to head along Escarpment Walking Track. After another 2.4 km cross the ford.
	Continue straight, to head along Escarpment Walking Track.
	After another 1 km (at the intersection of Jordans Trail & Escarpment Walking Track) turn left, to head along Jordans Trail (a vehicle track). After another 9 m (at the intersection of Escarpment Walking Track & Jordans Trail) turn right, to head along Escarpment Walking Track (a walking track).
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to Garra Lookout with views over the area. To start this optional side trip turn right here. On returning from this side trip turn sharp left when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 860 m veer left, to head along Escarpment Walking Track. After another 1.2 km come to the "Prowomba Lookout" (8 m on your right).
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to Banbai Lookout with views. To start this optional side trip turn right here. On returning from this side trip turn right when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 55 m turn left, to head along Escarpment Walking Track. After another 570 m pass the picnic table (on your left).
	After another 10 m (at the intersection of Misty Creek Road & Escarpment Walking Track) turn left, to head along Misty Creek Road (a vehicle track).
	After another 135 m (at the intersection of Misty Creek Road & Jordans Trail) continue straight, to head along Misty Creek Road. Keep right. After another 3.7 km cross the bridge (about 15 m long)
	After another 460 m continue straight, to head along Misty Creek Road. After another 25 m come to the "Chaelundi Rest Area" (75 m on your right). After another 45 m pass the toilet (50 m on your right). After another 35 m pass the "Pay station" (70 m on your right).
	Continue another 120 m to find at the intersection of Misty Creek Road & Escarpment Walking Track at the end.

Side trip to Chaelundi Falls Lookout with views over falls.

	Start.
	After another 15 m come to the end. A viewpoint. About 20 m past the end is "Chaelundi Falls". Turn around and retrace your steps back the 15 m to the main route.

Side trip along Lucifers Thumb Walking Track - a rock shaped like a finger, leading to a lookout.

	Start. After 1.1 km pass the "Chaelundi Bluff" (60 m on your right).
	After another 170 m turn left.
	After another 70 m come to the end. A viewpoint. Turn around and retrace your steps back the 1.3 km to the main route.

Side trip to Garra Lookout with views over the area.

  Due to ongoing freezing temperatures at Ebor Falls the toilets at the Upper Falls may be temporarily closed overnight and for part of the mornings. Alternate toilets are available to use at the Lower Falls picnic area, a short drive from the Upper Falls.
