Before you start any bushwalk ensure you;
• Tell someone you trust where you are going and what to do if you are overdue
• Have adequate equipment, supplies, skills & knowledge for the whole journey
• Consider the impact of weather forecasts, park/track closures & fire dangers
• Can respond to emergencies & call for help at any point
• Are healthy and fit enough for this journey
If not, change plans and stay safe. It is okay to delay and ask people for help.

Directions	From The Entrance Road, Bateau Bay, head south-east along The Entrance Road; After 50m, turn slight left on to The Entrance Road Bateau Bay. After another 300m, turn right on to Bateau Bay Road Bateau Bay. After another 950m, turn right on to Rushby Street Bateau Bay. After another 200m, turn right on to Reserve Drive Bateau Bay. After another 15m, turn left on to Bateau Bay. After another 20m, come to the trackhead on Bateau Bay.

	Start (from Sutton Reserve, Bateau Bay) by heading south-east. There is a parking area is at the start. There is a park is at the start. You will also find a parking areaand a seat here.
	Then (at the 4-way intersection) turn right. After another 30m, pass a seat (20m on the left).
	After another 350m, (at the 3-way intersection, with & The Coast Walking Track) bear left, to follow the The Coast Walking Track. After another 20m, pass a seat (on your right).
	After another 200m, (at the 3-way intersection) bear left, to stay on the The Coast Walking Track.
	After another 250m, (at the 3-way intersection) bear left, to stay on the The Coast Walking Track. After another 350m, pass a picnic table (on the left). Then almost immediately, pass a picnic table (on the left). Then almost immediately, pass a picnic table (on the left). After another 20m you will find the Crackneck Lookout (10m on the left). Crackneck Lookout This lookout, at the end of Hilltop St, Bateau Bay, has stunning views up and down the coastline, and out to sea. There are picnic tables and an information board about marine mammals. There is a hangliding launch spot beside the lookout. Then almost immediately, pass 02 seat (on the left). Then almost immediately, pass 01 seat (on the left). Then almost immediately, pass 03 seat (on the left).
	Then almost immediately (at the 3-way intersection) bear left, to stay on the The Coast Walking Track.
	After another 450m, (at the 3-way intersection) bear left, to stay on the The Coast Walking Track. After another 300m, head down the steps. After another 650m, pass a picnic table (5m on the left). Then almost immediately you will find the Wyrrabalong Lookout (5m on the left). Wyrrabalong Lookout and Cromarty Hill This lookout and picnic area is on Cromarty Hill, near the end of Cromarty Hill Rd, Forresters Beach. There are picnic tables and fantastic views from the lookout point, as well as the concrete roof platform beside the large communications tower. There is a hang gliding launch spot beside the lookout.
	After another 90m you come to the end, Forresters Beach. There is a lookout here. Then almost immediately pass a lookout (20m on the left).

  Safety alerts: Periodic closures of Wyrrabalong National Park (North) for fox control shooting operation
  Parts of Wyrrabalong National Park (North) will be closed for periods within a date range of Monday 16th June 2025 to Wednesday 30th December 2025 for fox control night shoot operations preventing localised economic impacts and protecting biodiversity assets within the park.
  When active, the shoot operation area will be delignated by signage advising visitors “do not enter” at any time during the night-time operation.
