Mount Jerrabomberra Circuit

Starting from the end of Jerrabomberra Hill Road(paved section), Jerrabomberra, this walk takes you to the mount’s summit, going through the eucalypt-dominated woodland and loops back. Let the relaxing birdsong take you away as you make your way up, and savor the exquisite views over Queanbeyan at the top. The signpost at the summit provides a great deal of information, as well as visually guiding you around. Birdwatching can be quite fruitful as the area is home to a bunch of bird species such as the Hooded Robin, Red-capped Robin and the Brown Treecreeper. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
Starting from the end of Jerrabomberra Hill Road(paved section), head towards the green metal gate with a “ROAD CLOSED” sign on it, along the pavement. Pass through the gap and continue straight to join the dirt fire trail veering slightly right, moving directly away from the gate. After around 20 metres, turn left into the woodland and follow the dirt trail to continue along Mount Jerrabomberra Circuit.....

	After another 195 m turn left.
	After another 90 m continue straight.
	After another 50 m continue straight. After another 185 m continue straight.
	After another 190 m continue straight. After another 225 m continue straight. After another 145 m continue straight.
	After another 430 m veer right. After another 130 m pass the water tap (on your left).
	Continue straight. After another 305 m continue straight. After another 105 m pass the "Mount Jerrabomberra" (65 m on your right).
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. A highly recommended side trip taking you to the lookout at the top. To start this optional side trip veer right here. On returning from this side trip error >360 when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 50 m turn left. After another 380 m continue straight.
	After another 570 m turn sharp right.
	After another 160 m turn left.
	After another 180 m turn right.
	After another 25 m come to the end.

A highly recommended side trip taking you to the lookout at the top.
