Getting started
From Katoomba Falls Kiosk, this walk heads out the front doors and turns left following the side of the building, past the car park to the small park, which it crosses, passing the water fountain and the large information signs to the signposted intersection of the 'Prince Henry Cliff Walk' and the track heading to 'Scenic Railway ....

	From the Katoomba Falls Road Start (a walking track). After 15 m head into the "Katoomba Falls Reserve". There is a toilet (about 50 m back from the start). There is a playground (about 40 m back from the start). After 55 m pass the car park (15 m on your left). After another 40 m find the "Katoomba Falls Kiosk" (35 m on your left). Katoomba Falls Kiosk The Katoomba Falls Kiosk serves a variety of light and healthy meals including breakfast, lunch and Devonshire teas. A drink enjoyed here will add to the experience of any local bushwalk. For more information, phone (02) 4782-4868. Then pass the "Katoomba Falls Kiosk" (35 m on your left).
	From the Prince Henry Cliff Walk veer left, to head along Prince Henry Cliff Walk. After another 75 m pass the "Blue Mountains National Park" (on your left).
	From the Prince Henry Cliff Walk continue straight, to head along Prince Henry Cliff Walk.
	After another 20 m (at the intersection of Katoomba Falls Track & Prince Henry Cliff Walk) veer left, to head along Prince Henry Cliff Walk. After another 10 m come to the viewpoint (9 m on your right).
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. An optional side trip to Solitary Lookout. To start this optional side trip turn right here. On returning from this side trip turn right when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 70 m (from the Prince Henry Cliff Walk) continue straight, to head along Prince Henry Cliff Walk. After another 85 m come to the "Duke & Duchess of York Lookout". After another 15 m pass the "Katoomba Falls" (20 m on your left). After another 5 m find the "Kedumba River lookout" (5 m on your left). Kedumba River lookout This unnamed, fenced lookout is at the bend in the track along Kedumba River, at the top of Katoomba Falls. The lookout gives great views across the valley to Mount Solitary and Narrow Neck. There are also glimpses of the Katoomba Falls as it drops away, far into the valley below.
	After another 155 m (from the Prince Henry Cliff Walk) turn right, to head along Prince Henry Cliff Walk. After another 20 m find the "Katoomba Cascades" (15 m on your left). Katoomba Cascades Popular with locals and visitors alike, these picturesque cascades are on the Kedumba River. The cascades are nestled in the bend on Cliff Drive, near Katoomba Park. There are stepping stones across the creek at the bottom of the falls and a bench seat in the shade. There are a few small clearings where visitors can sit and enjoy the falls. Then cross the ford. After another 50 m find the "Katoomba Falls Park" (15 m on your left). Katoomba Falls Park The Katoomba Falls Picnic area and park is found at the corner of 'Katoomba Falls Rd' and 'Cliff Dr', Katoomba. The south and western edge of the park is lined with a fence protecting the small Kedumba River, just above Katoomba Cascades. There is a fenced (1.2m high) viewing platform at the top of the cascades, and a smooth/flat conrete footpath leading to it. The park is also home to a series of 8 picnic tables. There is a car park for around 17 cars on Cliff Dr, as well as a separate signposted mobility parking bay at the south-eastern corner of the park. A pleasant picnic area.
	After another 35 m (from the Prince Henry Cliff Walk) continue straight, to head along Prince Henry Cliff Walk. After another 20 m find the "Parking Accessible" (15 m on your left). Parking Accessible The signposted mobility parking area is located on the 'Cliff Drive' road. The parking area is concrete, 8m wide and 3.25m deep. After another 245 m find the "Skyway Station" (25 m on your left). Skyway Station The Scenic Skyway is a cable car that bridges the 720-metre gap across the valley, in front of Katoomba Falls. This is the remote station, with the main station based at Scenic World. Visitors can travel one way, in either direction (Adult $10 child $5) or take a return trip (Adult $16 child $8), with family discounts available. The Skyway enjoys a full 360-degree view, with a glass floor allowing you to look straight down at the trees 270m below. This is a spectacular and popular attraction for visitors to the area and is open daily from 9am to 5pm.
	At the intersection of Prince Henry Cliff Walk & access to Prince Henry Cliff Walk veer left, to head along Prince Henry Cliff Walk. After another 65 m find the "Cliff View Lookout" (on your left). Cliff View Lookout This large, fenced wheelchair accessible lookout provides great mountain views of Mt Solitary, Kedumba Valley, Narrow Neck and across to Scenic World. There's a bench seat at the back of the lookout to enjoy the views from. The lookout fence is 1.2m high, the platform is 7.8x5.5m wide. After another 8 m find the "Seat" (6 m on your left). Seat A timber slat bench seat on a conrete platform. The seat is 53cm high, 35cm deep and 1.8m wide with a 40cm high backrest. After another 255 m pass a seat (on your left). After another 25 m find the "Wollumai Lookout" (on your left). Wollumai Lookout Wollumai Lookout is a small, fenced lookout on the side of the Prince Henry Cliff Track. The lookout is on a sandstone platform at the base of a cliff, and looks over a much larger drop into the Jamison Valley. There is a bench seat to enjoy the views over the valley, including Mount Solitary, Narrow Neck and glimpses of the Three Sisters.
	From the Prince Henry Cliff Walk veer left, to head along Prince Henry Cliff Walk.
	After another 85 m (from the Prince Henry Cliff Walk) continue straight, to head along Prince Henry Cliff Walk. After another 25 m come to the "Little Milou Lookout" (8 m on your right). After another 35 m find the "Allambie Lookout" (on your right). Allambie Lookout Allambie Lookout is a small, fenced lookout on the side of the Prince Henry Cliff Track. The lookout provides an opportunity to enjoy the valley view and the sights of the Three Sisters, Kings Tablelands and Mount Solitary. Then pass a seat (on your left). After another 190 m find the "Lady Darley Lookout" (on your right). Lady Darley Lookout Lady Darley Lookout is a moderately-sized, fenced lookout, found on the Prince Henry Cliff Track. The lookout can also be accessed directly by a track from Panorama Drive. There is an information sign describing the view and the traditional naming of the natural features. The panoramic views from the lookout are great, from Kings Tableland on the left to Mount Solitary, Narrow Neck and parts of Scenic World on the far right.
	After another 2 m (from the Prince Henry Cliff Walk) veer right, to head along Prince Henry Cliff Walk. After another 105 m come to the viewpoint. After another 95 m come to the "Kedumba View". After another 25 m cross the bridge (about 10 m long) After another 125 m pass a seat (25 m on your left). After another 45 m come to the "Queen Elizabeth Lookout" (5 m on your left).
	From the Prince Henry Cliff Walk continue straight (a highway\|pedestrian). After another 25 m pass the car park (25 m on your left).
	After another 45 m (Queen Elizabeth Lookout) turn sharp left. After another 15 m find the "Echo Point" (10 m on your right). Echo Point Echo Point is the Blue Mountains' most famous lookout, home to one of the best photo opportunities for the Three Sisters. Visited by over two million tourists each year, this popular spot also serves as the starting point for numerous bush walks of various grades, securing its position as one of the most popular locations in the Blue Mountains. After another 10 m find the "Queen Elizabeth Lookout" (20 m on your right). Queen Elizabeth Lookout Queen Elizabeth Lookout offers a breathtaking outlook, directly over the Three Sisters rock formation, and into the Jamison Valley. One of a number of viewing platforms at Echo Point, this platform is slightly lower than the more popular road-side area, however it is wheelchair-accessible, also offering some shade and seating. The platform was officially named in 1955, after a visit from Queen Elizabeth II the preceding year.
	After another 6 m veer right. After another 65 m find the "Seat" (15 m on your right). Seat Large concrete seat, no backrest. The seat is 40cm high, 1.5m deep and about 5.5m long. The height and depth vary slightly along the length. After another 20 m find the "Seat" (9 m on your right). Seat Large concrete seat, no backrest. The seat is 40cm high, 1.5m deep and about 5.5m long. The height and depth vary slightly along the length.
	Continue straight. After another 40 m pass the water tap (20 m on your left). Then find the "Parking Accessible" (20 m on your left). Parking Accessible There are three signposted mobility parking spaces. They are 3.8m wide and 5.5 deep. Smooth gentle ramp access from the parking area nearby facilities. About 20 m past the end is "Echo Point Information Centre". Echo Point Information Centre This modern building at Echo Point is a great source of information. It is open daily from 9am-5pm (except Christmas Day). There is a large range of books, maps and information about the area (and ice creams). There are toilets opposite the entrance, and mobility parking opposite. For more information, phone 1300 653 408. About 20 m past the end is "Toilet Accessible". Toilet Accessible Accessible unisex toilet and parents change room. MLAK key access, although gate may be locked after hours. Toilet has hand rails, there is a basin with soap and running water, mirror and baby change table.

  Closed areas: Woodford Oaks and Saint Helena trails - Weekday closure
  Woodford Oaks and Saint Helena trails in Blue Mountains National Park will be closed for maintenance and repairs on weekdays from Monday 26 May 2025 to Friday 8 August 2025 inclusive. The affected areas include:
  
  Woodford Oaks trail from Taylor Road at Woodford to the intersection of the Oaks/Nepean lookout trails
  
  Saint Helena trail.

  Closed areas: Parts of Blue Mountains National Park closed
  Many roads, fire trails and walking tracks in Blue Mountains National Park are closed due to infrastructure repairs, upgrades or damage caused by wet weather including subsidence, rockfalls, landslides and fallen trees.
  The following tracks are closed:
  Katoomba and Leura
  
  Honeymoon Bridge is closed due to rockfall hazards. (Visible bridge from Echo Point. Side route off Three Sisters Track and Giant Stairs.)
  
  Leura Cascades track (bottom section) is closed until the end of 2025 for track upgrade works. There is no access to Prince Henry Cliff walk (part of Grand Clifftop walk) between the top of Leura Cascades and the Amphitheatre junction. Short detour via Cliff Drive.
  
  Leura Cascades parking area and toilets are closed. Visit the Blue Mountains City Council website for information.
  
  Fern Bower track between Prince Henry Cliff walk and Amphitheatre track is closed due to landslides and associated repairs.
  
  Glenrapheal Drive (Narrow Neck fire trail) is closed to vehicles near Cliff Drive due to a road subsidence. Walkers and cyclists permitted.
  
  Part of Lindeman Pass is closed due to a major landslide below Gladstone lookout. Roberts Pass is closed due to rockfall and landslide hazards.
  
  Six Foot track is affected by closures at Jenolan Caves.
  
  Wentworth Falls and Woodford
  
  Charles Darwin walk (part of Grand Cliff Top walk) is closed between Fletcher Street and Weeping Rock. Detours are in place to provide directions to Wentworth Falls picnic area. Visit the Blue Mountains City Council website for information.
  
  Part of National Pass (west of Wentworth Falls middle crossing) is closed due to a major landslide and ongoing risks.
  
  Wentworth Pass and Slack Stairs are closed due to elevated boardwalk repairs. There's no access to Roberts Pass, Hippocrene or Vera Falls.
  
  Valley of the Waters is closed below Sylvia Falls. There is no access to Roberts Pass, Hippocrene or Vera Falls.
  
  Blackheath, Mount Victoria, Megalong Valley and Bells Line of Road
  
  Pulpit Rock Reserve, lookouts and part of the walking track are closed. For more information visit the Blue Mountains City Council website. Pulpit Rock walking track from Popes Glen is open as far as the NPWS boundary (as shown on Google maps).
  
  Govetts descent and Rodriguez Pass are closed due to rockfalls and landslides.
  
  Adventure recreation, canyons, abseiling and rock climbing
  Some adventure recreation areas and routes may be closed where the access or exit road/track is mentioned above.

  Link walking track is closed from Friday 9 May 2025 until further notice.

  Safety alerts: Remote walking track conditions
  Remote routes within the Kanangra Wilderness Area including Kanangra to Katoomba (K2K) trail have been impacted by heavy fire regrowth and flood damage.
  In some places, tracks are no longer visible and are not easy to navigate, taking longer to traverse than expected. Limited to zero water sources are currently available along routes.
  If you plan to walk in the area, please ensure you have an appropriate level of experience, navigation skills and equipment including Personal Locator Beacon (PLB).
  Mobile reception is limited so alternative communication methods are strongly recommended.

  Other planned events: Notice of ongoing 1080 baiting program
  NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program from Friday 2 May 2025 to Friday 1 May 2026 in the following areas:

  Kanangra-Boyd National Park
  
  Blue Mountains National Park (southern section)
  
  Wollemi National Park (Wolga)

  The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
  The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
  Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

  Fern Bower walking track in Blue Mountains National Park is closed until further notice due to multiple landslides. There's no access to Leura Forest and Leura Cascades via Fern Bower. Alternative access is via Amphitheatre track.
