As the name suggests, this circuit walk in New England National Park might offer you a chance to see some lyrebirds. Either way you will enjoy a great range of of environments and see lots of wildlife. Let us begin by acknowledging the Dunghutti people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Start heading along Lyrebird Walk.
There is a toilet (about 50 m back from the start).
After another 450 m (at the intersection of Lyrebird Walk & Tea Tree Falls Walk) continue straight, to head along Lyrebird Walk.
The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to lookout with views. To start this optional side trip veer left here. On returning from this side trip turn left when you get back to this intersection. Details below.
After another 1.1 km veer right, to head along Lyrebird Walk.
After another 40 m come to the viewpoint (6 m on your left).
After another 120 m come to the viewpoint (20 m on your left).
The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to lookout with views. To start this optional side trip turn left here. On returning from this side trip turn left when you get back to this intersection. Details below.
Continue straight, to head along Lyrebird Walk.
After another 1.3 km continue straight, to head along Lyrebird Walk.
After another 75 m pass the "John B. Williams memorial" (50 m on your right).
Then pass a "John B. Williams memorial" (55 m on your right).
After another 30 m cross the bridge (about 3 m long)
After another 380 m cross the ford.
After another 60 m cross the ford.
Then head up the 16 surface|wood steps (about 4 m long)
After another 25 m cross the ford.
After another 740 m head up the 12 surface|wood steps (about 2 m long)
After another 225 m (at the intersection of Lyrebird Walk & Tea Tree Falls Walk) turn left, to head along Lyrebird Walk.
After another 620 m come to the "Platypus Valley Lookout" (25 m on your right).
At the intersection of Eagles Nest Track & Lyrebird Walk continue straight, to head along Eagles Nest Track.
After another 60 m (at the intersection of Eagles Nest Track & Lyrebird Walk) turn left, to head along Lyrebird Walk.
After another 210 m turn left.
After another 20 m come to the end.
A car park.

Side trip to lookout with views.

Then come to a viewpoint.

Turn around and retrace your steps back the 5 m to the main route.
