Cape Naturaliste Walk

Starting from Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse Car Park, Naturaliste, this walk takes you on a circuit at the northernmost point of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge. You can enjoy the open views of the pristine beaches and the Indian Ocean from the tip of the cape and take a stroll in the coastal sites as well. It is possible to encounter the wildlife around the area, such as colourful Blue Wrens. There is also an optional side trip to the whale lookout, from which you can observe migrating whales. The texture of the track varies from sandy sections to rocky, uneven surfaces, so you may bring your hiking shoes along. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Turn on to Bussell Highway then drive for 1.6 km At roundabout, take exit 1 onto Caves Road and drive for another 13.3 km At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Caves Road and drive for another 120 m Continue onto Caves Road, 250 and drive for another 1.7 km At roundabout, take exit 3 onto Seymour Boulevard and drive for another 175 m At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Dunsborough Place and drive for another 130 m At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Naturaliste Terrace and drive for another 2.2 km Turn right onto Cape Naturaliste Road, 250 and drive for another 11 km

Getting started
From Cape Naturaliste lighthouse Car Park (roughly 250 metres southeast of Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse), walk towards the white “Exploring Cape Naturaliste” sign. Take the reddish paved track (on your left) that goes through the bushes. Head along the said track for about 140 metres, then turn right at the 3-way intersection to continue along Cape Naturaliste Walk (counterclockwise). ....

	At the intersection of Cape to Cape Walk Trail & Cape Naturaliste Road Start heading along Cape to Cape Walk Trail (a footpath). Find the car park at the start. Find the toilet at the start. Find the cafe at the start. Find the sign at the start.
	After another 125 m (at the intersection of Cape to Cape Track & Cape to Cape Walk Trail) turn right (a walking track).
	After another 600 m veer left.
	After another 195 m veer right.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. An optional side trip to Whale Lookout. To start this optional side trip continue straight here. On returning from this side trip turn right when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 230 m turn left.
	After another 950 m continue straight.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. An optional side trip to the coastal area that is called "Other Side of the Moon". The views are worth a visit the shoreline is pretty tranquil with lots of wildlife to observe. To start this optional side trip turn sharp right here. On returning from this side trip turn sharp left when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 30 m continue straight. After another 680 m continue straight.
	After another 170 m veer right.
	After another 560 m (at the intersection of Cape to Cape Walk Trail & Cape to Cape Track) turn left, to head along Cape to Cape Walk Trail (a footpath).
	Continue another 135 m to find at the intersection of Cape Naturaliste Road & Cape to Cape Walk Trail at the end.

An optional side trip to Whale Lookout.
