Thilba Thalba to Mapleton Cemetery

Starting from Thilba Thalba walkers’ camp, Gheerulla, this walk takes you to the Mapleton Cemetery (Delicia Road) via the fourth and last section of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk, visiting Gheerulla Falls and Ubajee viewpoint along the way. You’ll be met by exceptional views of Gheerulla Valley and the surrounding mountains as you walk out of Thilba Thalba. Take your time, enjoy the scenery and listen to the birds chirping by the water. Keep an eye out for signs of logging along the track and learn more about the history of the area. Both campsites have toilet facilities, although booking in advance is recommended. Look out for snakes and goannas. The creek can get dangerous after/during rainfall, so try to avoid those conditions. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From Thilba Thalba walkers’ camp (330 metres north of Delicia Road), head southeast along the singular dirt track (Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk). After about 50 metres, keep left at the 3-way intersection to continue along Thilba Thalba to Mapleton Cemetery Track.....

	Continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.
	After another 2.5 km turn sharp right, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.
	After another 3.3 km (at the intersection of Delicia Road & Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk) veer left, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.
	After another 130 m continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.
	After another 800 m (at the intersection of Delicia Road & Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk) continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. An optional little side trip taking you to Gheerulla Falls. To start this optional side trip continue straight here. On returning from this side trip turn right when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 1.3 km (at the intersection of Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk & Gheerulla Falls Access Track) turn left, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.
	After another 340 m (at the intersection of Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk & Great Walk) veer right, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. After another 1.4 km come to the viewpoint (85 m on your right).
	Continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. After another 100 m come to the "Ubajee Walkers Camp" (55 m on your right). After another 105 m continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.
	After another 550 m (at the intersection of Track 3 & Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk) veer left, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.
	After another 420 m continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. After another 1.1 km (at the intersection of Track 3 & Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk) continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. After another 115 m continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.
	After another 360 m turn right, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. After another 295 m continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. After another 630 m continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.
	After another 55 m continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. After another 930 m (at the intersection of Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk & Linda Garrett Circuit) continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. After another 275 m (at the intersection of Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk & Linda Garrett Circuit) continue straight, to head along Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. After another 55 m pass the car park (20 m on your right).
