Where is is multiple choice quiz

Postby icefest » Fri 26 Sep, 2014 5:56 pm

Last night while trying to fall asleep I was thinking of ways to make "Where is it?" into a multiple choice quiz.

This is my attempt:

Example:

If there is any interest, I'll add more questions.
PM me to get edit access to see the programing or help add more pictures.

[OT]I think this is also a great idea for the Aussie where is it game. Could get around the issue of single state domination and make it a more level playing field for everyone.[/OT]

Well done icefest. I enjoyed it. I didn't get too many right but it was still fun.

Do you want to be the manager of the Australian one Micky, or John?
I'll be happy to explain how it works.

Nice work - perhaps it could be a good refresher for the game - perhaps more as something to add to the wiki as a single player kind of thing. You could even structure it with levels, having the more recognisable features in the easy levels, and up to some more obscure shots as you progress.

If you could program that it'd be cool. Excel is about the limits of my programming ability.
It could be done with a difficulty multiplier, though it might be easier to just have more or less multiple choices.

Thanks icefest. Any other time I would say yes but at the moment I haven't got the time. I'm working 7 days a week and can't see that changing for another few weeks. I'm too knackered at night time to concentrate on something like that. Hopefully John (or someone else) might be interested.

Unfortunately I'm also time poor and would be unreliable. In thinking it further I actually believe this could be implemented as simple rule change to the Aussie game, or I guess people could even choose to do it voluntarily as it stands now?
