Newbie - Advice/Direction

Postby timmo19 » Wed 02 Dec, 2015 7:56 am

Good Morning All,

Obviously a newbie here, so any help would be appreciated, and any redirection to previously similar posts will be great.

Myself and a mate of mine are looking to head to Tas for a week sometime next year, both bushwalking novices, for a nice walk/camp, with the main focus on fishing, fly and lure.

I'm hoping for some help as to where and when would be ideal, what to pack gear wise, being from Vic, unsure what the weather patterns are like at what time of year etc.

Im quite fit, so a challenging walk wont bother me, but my mate, not so much (understanding Bushwalking is a different kind of fitness)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Timmo

Hi Timmo
Have a look at this trip report viewtopic.php?f=42&t=19551&p=260184&hilit=ironstone#p260184
I am not a fish but the area described by Dan is popular with this wanting to walk and fish.
