Im on the south east spur of the Toolong Range to south east of Jagungal. No telephoto.. just my phone camera.

If it's where my research suggests I've walked around there many times but didn't know this was there - Mt Keira?

Time for a clue I think. This is the inscription, and the scouts arrived via public transport, but wouldn't be able to replicate that trip exactly today.

Hmm, it might have something to do with Royal National Park Station having closed in the 1990s.

As I can't find any details of an old chapel near RNP station, I'm thinking maybe the scouts traveled to the now-closed Lilyvale station.

Cant find a chapel there either....
Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.
