A night or two without a tent isn't that bad, especially in summer. If you still have the rest of your gear you will get by quite comfortably. A bit off topic but involving a helicopter: was this dropping Ollster off at our campsite or did he walk up with the rest of us - I can't remember (must be the old age) :twisted:

With my rather tender back and knees at the moment a ride would've been nice. :|

How's the 5 day rock hop across the Eldons gonna go with the knees? I know I worry about my back, but I seem to have figured out what I can and cant do to manage it...

No idea. Slow and steady as usual I expect. I haven't been taking any anti-inflamatories recently, and I do find there is a sweet spot between doing too much and not doing enough walking. Hopefully I can find that leading up to the trip.
