Waterfall Creek Loop

Starting from the car park off Nerang Murwillumbah Road, Numinbah Valley, this circuit walk takes you into the woodland of Springbrook National Park, crossing the Waterfall Creek multiple times along the way. Enjoy this tranquil hike along a beautiful creek as you disconnect from the thrum of modern life. The tracks are mostly undulating and quiet as the walk is a bit secluded relative to the other ones nearby. You’ll cross the creek multiple times, but as long as the water level is normal, your feet will stay dry. On the other hand, the creek becomes stronger and forms little waterfalls in a couple of spots after some decent rainfall, This can lead to slippery footing and getting a bit wet, but the gorgeous scenery might just be worth it. Avoid peak hours to minimize the road noise. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From the car park off Nerang Murwillumbah Road(just south of intersection with Pine Creek Road), head towards the wide dirt fire trail along the car park, moving directly away from Nerang Murwillumbah Road. Follow the said trail(Waterfall Creek Break) as it meanders into the woodland and crosses the creek to continue along Waterfall Creek Loop(clockwise).....

	After another 10 m (at the intersection of Chesters Road & School House Break) continue straight, to head along Chesters Road. After another 140 m (at the intersection of Yauns Break & Chesters Road) continue straight, to head along Chesters Road.
	After another 670 m (at the intersection of Chesters Road & Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk) continue straight, to head along Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk (a vehicle track).
	After another 330 m (at the intersection of Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk & Yauns Break) turn right, to head along Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk. After another 1.2 km pass the toilet (100 m on your left).
	Turn sharp right.
	After another 630 m turn right, to head along Chesters Road.
	After another 760 m (at the intersection of Chesters Road & Red Hill Break) continue straight, to head along Red Hill Break (a vehicle track).
	After another 800 m (at the intersection of Red Hill Break & Tagablum Break) turn left, to head along Tagablum Break. After another 2.1 km continue straight.
	After another 245 m turn right, to head along Nerang Murwillumbah Road.
	After another 335 m come to the end.
