Birds are often hard to get on film, but cameras with continuous shooting allow the capture of active moments. This cute thornbill in the Adelaide Hills was jumping into the air to make its escape during one such photo burst.
Lake Ayr during the big freeze last winter. Successive days of clear skies, low temperatures and heavy frost had the highlands iced over every morning.
